Áyax Llorente studied piano and saxophone at the Conservatorio Profesional de Música “Oreste Camarca” of Soria and graduated at the age of 17. He continued his studies Superior at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Aragón with Federico Coca and Mariano García. In 2014, he joined CNSMD of Paris and finishes his studies by obtaining his price saxophone with the mention Très Bien in 2017. Currently he continues his development as part of a Master at the ZHdK from Zürich in the class of Lars Mlekusch.
He won the College of Spain / INAEM Music Performance Award in 2016, in Paris, the First Prize at the Creación Joven Festival of Soria, Spain, and the 5th Prize at the 1st International Competition of Andorra Sax Fest. He was supported during his Parisian studies at the CNSMDP by the Tarrazi Fund, the Meyer Foundation and the Jabès Foundation.
It was heard with the Army Harmony Orchestra of the French air, the harmony band and the saxophone ensemble of the CSMA (Spain), the young Symphony Orchestra of Soria (Spain), the contemporary music ensemble “Listening” of the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris, and the ensemble of saxophones and the CNSMDP harmony orchestra, and as a soloist with, for example, the Kammart Ensemble.
