The Spheres offers a one day demo package for students and young musicians who need materials for competitions, comprising audio recording and fixed-cam video. Please ask@the-spheres.com for more information.

 

The Spheres can be booked for minimum a half day. Prices depend on ensemble formation, special requirements, and whether the piano is used. Please get in touch to request a quote, specifying the approximate duration of the material to be recorded, number of tracks, ensemble formation, whether or not the piano is to be used, and any other pertinent information. Please let us know if editing, mixing, mastering, and disc authoring will be required.

Standard studio hours are 9.00 – 13.00 and 14.00 – 18.00, and the studio will not be available for practicing during recording days other than short “warm-ups” which must be arranged in advance. Please ask if another time schedule is requested.

Colibrì Ensemble is an internationally recognised versatile chamber orchestra, and is the resident orchestra of The Spheres. They are available for Film and Ad Scoring as well as for concerto recordings. Prices depend on instrumentation but are competitive. They are hireable by the day, from as small as a quartet up to 60 players. Please inquire for more information. The studio has 24 music stands and 60 chairs. Sessions are flexible and not strictly limited to the standard 3 hours, and the musicians are enthusiastic partners.

Mixing in our Tom Hidley-inspired “non-environment” room and through our transparent Amphion monitors means hearing your mix, not the room. The studio offers a selection of top-notch outboard gear and a large collection of popular plugins.

In person rate: €75 euros per hour. Depending on the project, mixing can be done very quickly or can take several days.

e-Mixing

We prefer to work with you in person, but we can also help at a distance. Satisfaction is guaranteed.

e-Mixing rate: 300 euros per song (up to 24 tracks). Please specify if you need more than 10 songs mixed and we will arrange a discount.

Tracks must be:

• in .wav, .aif, or .aiff formats
• in 16, 24, or 32 bit depths
• in 44.1KHz, 48KHz, 88.2KHz, or 96KHz sample rates
• without clipping or artefacts
• preferably without effects (compression, EQ, reverb)

The Spheres will select a mixing engineer most qualified for your genre of project and will deliver your mixed track within two weeks in the original sample rate and bit depth as well as a 16bit 44.1kHz version ready for burning to CD. Further requests for revision can be made within one week of delivery without any additional costs incurred.

The studio offers a selection of top-notch outboard gear and a large collection of popular plugins, of mastering level quality.

In person rate: €90 euros per hour. Generally mastering a disc can be done in a half day.

We prefer to work with you in person, but we can also help at a distance. Satisfaction is guaranteed.

e-Mastering: 60 euros per track, or 400 euros per disc.

Our mastering engineer will deliver your mixed track within two weeks in the original sample rate and bit depth, plus a 16bit 44.1kHz version ready for burning to CD. Further requests for revision can be made within one week of delivery without any additional costs.

Our engineer will optionally prepare a DDP for digital delivery to pressing plants for a further 90 euros. This is the recommended format for sending to print.

Audio Restoration is charged at 8 euros per minute of material to be cleaned, and is done using iZotope RX 6 Audio Editor.

Transfer from vinyl and archiving is possible, please get in touch with the details of the project.

The studio offers a THORENS TD 124/II SME 3009 and a THORENS TD125, with Rothwell Rialto Phonostage and Grado Prestige Gold 1.

The studio can be booked for rehearsals. Price depends on the gear needed, but starts at €30 per hour, plus a further €20 per hour for use of the Steinway. Please write to us for more information.

The Spheres is mobile! With hundreds of meters of XLR and Cat6 cables on spools, the team can bring the studio to you for professional audio and video production. Please write to us for more information. Our most recent clients include the Orchestra Sinfonica LaVerdi di Milano.

ODRADEK’s photographer Tommaso Tuzj is happy to discuss planning a photoshoot, both in the studio and on location. Please contact him here.

Our video platform permits a single operator to live mix footage recorded in any of the live rooms, and 5 remote control (pan-tilt-zoom) high definition Sony cameras ensure a dynamic product. Our sophisticated lighting systems help set the mood. A further 16 GoPro Session Black 4K cameras can be embedded to capture every angle.

We can offer this as raw backstage footage for you to work with, or plan additional video work including interview and b-roll footage to create a project trailer, teaser, or EPK about you and your art.

We can also offer a complete video recording of a concert performance, live streamed if desired.

We are available for commercial work including advertisements and interviews.

Our green screens measure 6m x 9m and 4 x 4m.

Our video kit is fitted with a DJI Ronin, 2 Sennheiser AVX LAV sets, Rycote Super Shields (mono and MS), EyeDirect Folding Mark E for direct-in-camera presentations or invisibly integrating a teleprompter, a selection of Rhino Sliders with motion and arc tracking, and a Wooden Camera Director’s Monitor Cage.

Optionally, international physical and digital distribution and marketing is available through the team of Odradek Records.

The cost depends on the project, the minimum print run is 500 copies, and ODRADEK must evaluate whether the project will be a successful fit for its distribution network.

The Spheres can be hired for your private events, such as concerts, presentations, shows, discussion forums, and meetings. If required, one of the area’s most important catering services, Umami, is located just next door, and the team can arrange for food and drink. The back garden can be enjoyed for a grill or BBQ. Parking is abundant in the area, and we have a loading dock.

Optionally, the studio can provide artistic lighting plus photo, video, and live streaming services for your events.

If requested The Spheres can arrange a driver for pickup service from anywhere in Pescara and from Rome airports.
